Sometimes I worry that November 11 will slowly be engulfed by time. I know many other people feel that many Canadians do not give Remembrance Day the respect that it deserves. I heard a fantastic song today on CBC which really encapuslated my feelings. Its called "A Pittance of Time" "A Pittance of Time" and I'm sure many people have had similar experiences to this. I remember in high school in Ajax, asking the teacher why the school didn't really do anything for Remembrance Day. (all they did was play a really bad recording of taps over the P.A., and have the one minute of silence.) She said that if we had a school assembly it would seem to be more of a break from classes, and we would treat it as fun. (Sure as opposed to calculus!?) It also annoys me that nothing closes outside of banks, and gov't institutions. But really, if things were closed I know most people would probably go to the mall etc. and not visit the local war memorials. I always buy my poppy from a veteran not a box. That way I can give more than two minutes of my silent rememberance, I can give them my thanks. Friday, November 7

My husband is the official Keeper of the "FurBabies". It is his job to ensure they have adequate food, water love etc. This morning apparently the smallest furbaby Aki lodged a complaint with the furbaby union against the keeper for serving breakfast at 11:00 am and not the usual 8:00 am.
Len has subsequently lodged a counter complaint against Aki. Tuesday, November 4

I don't know about the rest of you folks but Thursday gives me reason to get through the week. Check out Guile's World for weekly updates and a Very thorough point system breakdown.

1) Chocolate. While it may make you feel better temporarily, it does not make the collection agency people go away, it only gives you a bellyache.
2) Never use the words "chocolate" AND "lady" on google when searching for a new messenger picture....only bad things can happen. Which reminds me....I MUST go to church on Sunday! Monday, November 3
