My dad sent this to me....Baby Jesus Is Missing!

This is precious!!! It was the day after Christmas at a church in San Francisco. The pastor of the church was looking over the cradle when he noticed that the baby Jesus was missing from among the figures. Immediately he turned and went outside and saw a little boy with a red wagon, and in the wagon was the figure of the little infant, Jesus. So he walked up to the boy and said, "Well, where did you get Him, my fine friend?" The little boy replied, "I got him from the church." "And why did you take him?" The boy said, "Well, about a week before Christmas I prayed to the little Lord Jesus and I told him if he would bring me a red wagon for Christmas I would give him a ride around the block in it."
also at Shoppers Drug Mart today, they had really chipper parking attendants, which was super cool because the parking lot is SO SMALL, even when its not Christmas.I handed out coupons at Shoppers which I couldn't use. A gentleman offered for us to go ahead of him in line, because he was a slowmover. Our programmer checked on me on msgr to make sure I wasn't working. AND THE BEST FOR LAST!
Len made a huge compromise/sacrifice for me for my holiday with my family.

I had a better blog entry today....all about what I've been doing since the 15th, my last post.....my new theory of religion....I call it my diet coke and chip theory.....but my darn cat.....the older one who should know better, literally deleted it as I was typing.....it was a good blog entry too...a big one. So therefore, dear readers, please excuse Allyson from blogging today, she has the sniffles.

....Remember Aki? .

Well she got to meet Gramma and Grampa Collier today. Len and I were a little nervous as she can be a little rangy, and we are still working on the name thing and the no thing. We didn't take her to Pontypool for that reason, Gramma (or none of us for that matter) needed four rangy, fighting cats. So anyway, we were a little tense when Gramma and Grampa came by afraid she be bouncing around all over the place. We ran out of time so we were unable to tire her out before hand, but big suprise she was a perfect angel. she really ddin't even care that company was over. Eventually she came up on the couch between Gramma and Grampa and laid down for a nap. Both grandparents were very impressed by her marking and how sweet she was. So they left and I went over to Aki, as they were still walking out to the car and gave her a big hug for being such a good girl......big mistake.....apparently she had been trying very hard to behave, so well in fact that had had been holding back one of her infamous stinks! She let off the classic silent but deadly" "and cleared Len and I out of the room! It was so funny. As Len and I evacuated we were laughing so hard. She couldn't have had better timing. the door closed and she farted.....what a stinky little kitty!

View Article  What a weekend.....
Len and I had a fabulous weekend. Friday night we went for dinner at Laura and Derek's house in Westwood, just north of Peterborough. We met the new baby Quinn, gave him his toy. Derek's sister was there with her son Cain, what a sweetie, he's grown so big now! Also Len's old friend Jenn was there with her new husband George, and her daughter Emily. Another cute kid, she is about 6 years old. It was good company, good dinner. Derek cooked lasagna, mmmm yummy! All in all it was a "Carlsberg" night.Saturday started off quite slow. the plan was to get a reasonably early start, cram in most of our Christmas shopping, and relax that evening. Cain, however, had invited us to see him at the Peterborough Santa Claus parade so we were working on a time limit. The parade is very cool. It starts at 5:30 and most of the floats are all lit up with Christmas lights. It was alot of fun to watch the kids and their excitment. Not alot of shopping happening because we didn't get the early start we had intended. (suprised!?) We did manage to get some crucial items however.
The next day I had church, which was nice. The sermon was about our pace of life and missing the important things because not only are we caught up in the hurriedness of life, but also that we have rationalized our everyday life as more important. We often forget to listen for God, and wait patiently for Jesus. Some people think how mazing it would have been to live in Jesus' time and to have known him, but we forget we do live in his time and we do have the opportunity to know him.

Sunday afternoon Jamie and I took Jessie for some Wal-Mart therapy. Picked up some more Christmas items, hung out with the girls. Jamie got an excellent deal on a pair of leather shoes from Payless. Couldn't have asked for a better day. :)Our Sunday evening was not as planned, but everything worked out. Poor Ephraim got really sick Sunday afternoon, and Jamie and Jason had to take him up to emerg that night around 9:30. So Len and I stayed with Keyzia at their place. Keyzia had some trouble sleeping so we got in some cuddle time on the couch. Before they left both Jamie and Jason said she will probably get thirsty and want her "cuppa" sure enough she awoke and when I went in to check on her she groggily said, "Cuppa" in the most pathetic, little girl, just woke up voice. So cute. Poor Jamie and Jason didn't get home until around 2:30, apparently emerg was just packed. The doctor gave Ephraim some medicine, and apparently he's doing better already. So that was our wild and wooly weekend. It was not especially crafty....it was just busy!

This is one of the things I've been working on. I can't say for who, but it should be done this weekend and I'll post the finished doggy then.

...My nose is so stuffed up, my head hurts, my throats so sore its all I can think about.

Wait did I already say that?
I can't believe its happening again. I pretty much spent the whole weekend either in bed or on the couch. I didn't even feel like knitting all weekend. On the upside though Len and I rented a few movies we had on our list. Legally Blonde 2, X2 and Bruce Almighty. They were all pretty good. You know your sick when you get all teary when Elle Woods gives her inspirational speech to the U.S. Senate based on a bad haircut story!
And really I'm feeling much better today than I did all weekend. Yay to Costco size ibruprophen!
