Thank goodness its Friday! I worked late tonite, well not too bad, but really anything after 5 pm on a Friday is too late. I spent a few hours driving around Peterborough on official business, today. I think I did 2 complete laps! So I had to stay late to finish what I couldn't put off till Monday.
Not much planned this weekend. Bills to pay...doing the usual Christmas catchup. Last weekend was nice...we had zilch money but I worked on my "honeydo" list and got to play with some of my new toys as well. I hung up a coat rack at the back door to help streamline our front entrance. As anyone who has ever been to our place would agree this can be quite an adventure. The walls are really old, the studs are never where they are supposed to be, and the drywall is usually non-existent. Usually you end up drilling through the wallpaper into nothing. so far so good the various plugs I used (touch wood) are doing their job. Oh and I knit something for myself finally, although I'm still working on several projects for others. I knit myself a cabled cell phone cover. I didn't follow a pattern I pretty much made it up as I went. I was just tired of not having my cell phone in my purse. So I knit a separate cover that will attach to the outside of my purse. ( that I hate digging around for my phone as it rings and rings and rings....then hangs up just as I find it!)I'll post the pattern later this weekend and maybe a pic too. Monday, January 5

Well its all done now, I'm back at work today. I felt kinda bad about not updating my blog at all but we just haven't been home. Len and I are actually afraid to count up how many nights we spent in our own bed! We managed to get visits into everyone except Mike, Carolanne and Emily, and Della. We spent Christmas split between Ajax and Pontypool. New Years was in Ajax. All in all it was fun times, and good company (albeit hectic!) All the presents have been distributed so they are now bloggable ;) Which I will be doing as soon as we get the film back. Of course all the other photos of everything else we did will go on too. With apppropriate commentaries! (How many Rum and Eggnogs did you have!?) No worries, I'll be nice. We will be packing up the tree this week as well, the rest has already been packed up. Usually we tend to hang on to it a little to long, but we need our house back. We are ready for a fresh start for 2004. As soon as "Bobbi's Christmas" is done, on January 7, it comes down. I have, as usual, resolved not to make any resolutions, something I'm pretty good at keeping. So I will not be posting any crazy lists that will come back to bite me later! I can't wait to knit something for myself. I'm not sure if the rug will be the first, but I'm thinking that would be a good start. I still have two more projects to finish, a poncho for Keyzia, and one more extra gift for my niece Emily. So all in all we're happy to be home....the cats are happy to see the suitcases going downstairs....toothbrushes back in the bathroom. Here is wishing everyone many blessings in the New Year, good fortune and much happiness! |
