So where in the heck have Len and I been?....even I can't believe that I haven't posted since October 1st.
The majority of the beginning of my maternity leave I spent sleeping, seriously, I had been pushing it pretty hard finishing up at work so when my body told me to sleep I did.
The next priority then became to make a list...as it turns out a pretty big list. But slowly and with some extreme patience from Len and alot of hard work from Len, Mom and Dad. We've actually been able to create a space for our impending arrival.
We've had two baby showers and we're completely overwhelmed by everyone's generosity. We've been very blessed.
I've been able to become more active at the Schizophrenia Society. I've actually made it to back to back meetings. And my spare time during the day, allowed me to edit and finesse the layout of the Peterborough newsletter.

So we will continue to work on that list....according to the doctor we most likely have the full 20 days to get it all done...worst case scenario, we almost have our bags packed at the very least! :) But we will definitely keep everyone posted!!

Last night I had the strangest dream....
I dreamt I was visiting or living in a war-torn country. I was walking through a "neighborhood" with a small child  and all it consisted of was a street of rubble, and broken buildings on either side. The houses had no doors, or windows and people were just generally hanging out looking out onto the street. The street was the most amazing part though. You couldn't actually see the road surface any longer, the area had been part of a battle, and then eventually it became a dumping ground for tanks, guns and othe weapons of war.Dirt had drifted in, making it an armament mountain. So the path sloped upwards and you had  to wind yourself around such items as gun turrents. The small child I was with had a terrible time climbing, and constantly stumbled. I fell often and caught my foot, between a rock and a half buried helmet.
As we climbed along, I noticed that moss had started growing amidst the cracks. It was a beautiful soft, thick spongy green, concealing the dreadfullness below.
Then suddenly, I looked and saw a small miracle growing admist the moss. A beautiful pink and white water flower, had sprouted amidst the disarray. From somewhere water was leaking and trickling down the slope, creating a tiny pool, enough to feed the soil, and nurture a seed that had blown in on the wind. I looked up at the small child with disbelief and wonder, she pointed back to the flower and said, "watch". To my amazement, a small sprinkle of water shot out of the heart of the flower, then slowly subsided. I waited again at the child's instruction, this time I was rewarded with spray of water from within the flower. I looked around at the people watching who were familiar with this remarkable flower. I washed my hurting dry dusty feet and felt my fears and apprehensions wash away. I looked around at the beautiful people, forced to live there and I forgot about the horror and destruction which had occurred in this place.
