Thursday night I did something I haven't done in almost a year! I went for a bike ride.

It was so nice, I filled up my camelback, buckled on my helmet and off I went. I rode up to Jackson's Creek and took the old railbed route, knowing this would be easiest on my knee. It was a fairly busy time of the evening so I didn't see any wildlife, you have to go pretty early in the morning for that.

I turned around after the 2km mark, (marked from the center of the park) made it about 20 feet up the trail when I realized something was wrong. I stopped my bike, turned around and wouldn't you know it, my back tire was flat. I tried to keep going but i had absolutely no air left, so instead of wrecking my rim I decided to walk.

Very quickly, my pride at my pregancy exercise, despite my knee injury was totally gone. I was so bummed out.  I ended up walking about 3 km to get home.

I'm not defeated though, Len has promised me he'll put in a new tube by Friday night so we can go out together. At least that way, if anything happens, I'll have company for the walk home!
