So I'm doing it again. Jamie popped by last night and we were talking about the current projects we are working on, and I think I need to redefine the term active! I'm working on a bathmat set, a scarf, I should be working on Caleb's Christmas stocking, I need to make a gift for Dave and Joanne's arrival slated for October 25. I have I don't know how many projects sitting in my knitting basket that I've put down for various reasons...usually other projects! I thought we were only supposed to hoard yarn not projects!

I'm going to work today.

"Dear Allyson,

I am pleased to confirm your employment with the Schizophrenia Society of Ontario August 22, 2005...."

I'm very excited about this position, its a huge career move for me, and an amazing opportunity for our family. Len also starts his new job officially today....stay at home dad! Yay, Len! We are so lucky and grateful that things are working out that way. So many moms go back to work and have such anxiety over leaving their little ones, but I have all the confidence in the world that this situation is a perfect one for us and Caleb. And if we need back up we've discussed that Jamie would be able to fill in as well. Tonite for example, Len and I have a dinner for work, and we know everyone will say, "Where's Caleb?" but we're taking it as a night out for mom & dad and Caleb's going to Auntie Jamie's.
This past weekend went well, well some parts, but thats a whole other blog, between the hail, tornadoes and geese, I'll have to fill you in later!

Way to go Ross!!

We went down to Eniskillen today to cheer along Ross and the other riders. We put up a huge sign that said "Hammer Down" with a Tucows cyclist, some people did, some people said, "are you kidding me!?" We had alot of fun. Ross looked great I think he was fairing very well. And in case your feeling guilty after seeing these pics of all those hills Ross tackled....you can still get a pledge in before September 15.

I thought I'd finally get around to downloading some photos from my camera and I would update you all on my ventures into scrapbooking. Ha!! Stupid blogware....ate my entry! In my previous life I learned the value of saving my work every minute or so...but...as I was saving my work for about the third time, after uploading photos and editing my article so as to sound at least half intelligent it ATE it!!! ARGH!!!

So no update I must leave the dungeon and foray out into the world today. I have resumes to print, clothes to try on, make sure they are clean and spiffy, photocopies for my career binder etc. And thats just for the interview on Thursday! Gotta run out some mail, (have you sent your cheque yet!?),  OSAP will be calling soon if I don't get that in the mail.

Anyways, there is much more but if I stay down here to tell you about it all it won't get done!!

But wish me luck tomorrow...2 pm...its the big day.

A long time ago I swore that I would never scrapbook. I thought it was kinda stupid to take one picture of an entire roll and put pretty stickers and captions on it just to show it off to friends and family.
So today I eat crow and go to Jamie's to scrapbook.
I've decided to combine the kind of scrapbooking my mother taught me as a child with the modern version of scrapbooking. A more practical way of keeping theatre tickets, material from favorite t-shirts long since worn out, single photos tucked in Christmas cards and other flotsam and jetsam I've accumulated throughout the year.
Of course, the mandate as always will be cheap and inexpensive yet creative. We will be joined by the brave Kathleen who is quite intrepid and ready to be "craftified". In this way we can pool our resources and ideas, it should be quite fun. I'll keep you posted as to how it goes!
