There are a few things that you can always count on as a woman...death, taxes, "that time of the month" and the opportunity to guilt friends and family to come to your house and buy candles, pots, pans, tupperware, makeup.
As it happens, Jamie, got sucked into not only hosting a Pampered Chef party but she also attended 8 parties in the space af 2 months. (I believe my math is right, if I'm off I'm sure she'll correct me!) Does she love cooking that much!? I don't think she does, at least not that much more than any other human who needs to eat and feed their family in order to survive.  Some people do love cooking, yet they have never hosted nor attended a Pampered Chef party. It's a girl thing.  So in turn, the good friend that I am, I had a party. The funny thing is, maybe times have changed since the first party I ever attended, where I could care less about makeup, but my mom brought me along. I think, now don't take this the wrong way mom, that she was trying to spend some girl time with me and introduce me to my feminine side, kinda hard to find with 3 brothers and no sisters. From what I can recall she was less than successful...in fact I think I'm still looking for my feminine side! But, I tagged along, oohed and aahed over colours and the magic healing powers of the aloe plant, and I dutifully attended when my mom had her show in our living room. But I digress....the hostess credit system is different with Pampered Chef. The only benefit the hostess gets from people booking parties is the opportunity to go to those parties and spend more money with the special hostess discount! Hooray! I think Len would divorce me!  I did however, make one important purchase, and that was to empty our cupboards of our old pots and pans from when we first moved into together, and replace them with lifetime guaranteed cookware for half-price. (thank you friends and family).
And in a few weeks I will dutifully attend when my mom has her Pampered Chef show in her living room so I can ooh and aah over the latest kitchen gadgets!
